San Diego Technical Diving came about as a project to document the known and unknown wrecks in waters surrounding San Diego. Although there are many technical diving bulletin boards/mailing lists (see the links section) we were interested in a site specific to San Diego waters. Research done by Steve Donathan and others have shown that there are significant amounts of wrecks off the coast of San Diego which remain to be located; we believe that there is enough diving in our local waters to warrant a website dedicated to technical diving in San Diego. To this end, we have created the SDTechDiving website which contains within it valuable resources, including links to useful sites, local diving boat charters, dive sites with descriptions, and articles contributed by local technical divers. And although we are a technical diving oriented website, we welcome all divers who are curious about some of the technical diving which can be accessed in San Diego. If you have any questions or comments regarding SDTechDiving.com, please feel free to contact us - email addresses can be located under the "Contact Us" section below. We hope that you find this website as a useful tool in your diving endeavors and we welcome your contributions to the site. And as always, dive safely out there. |
