This is part of an artificial reef started in 1992 and covers approximately 75 acres, of which the main attraction is the Trident Missile Test Tower. The tower is covered with metridiums and other invertebrate. There are missile tubes present which are large enough to swim into. In the surrounding areas there are many large concrete pillars, concrete rubble and even quarry rocks. This area is populated with many rockfish, sand bass and the there are often schools of blacksmiths and other schooling fish congregating around the missile tower. There are often currents running here so plan accordingly. This artificial reef, including the Trident Missile Test Tower, is called the International Artificial Reef by the DFG.
